The Post Hotel Ischgl is a true gem. Whilst many have tried to replicate the casual cosy-ness of a traditional Alpine hotel, there is an effortlessness to the Post Hotel which exudes timeless elegance, luxurious refinement and uncompromising generosity. Forget ‘glitz and glamour’ and think ‘true class’.

The Post Hotel has really thought of everything. For Winter, there are dedicated ski rooms, rental facilities literally seconds away and world-class ski runs on your doorstep catering to every level. In Summer, the wellness facilities can keep you occupied for days on end but there are also a multitude of walking options, bicycle trails and scenic drives to keep you busy. The Post is distinctive because every effort is made to tailor the experience to your own personal preferences. The in-house guide Michael will prepare itineraries that you can enjoy either on your own or in a group and everything is done with a sense of humour and a focus on ensuring pure and unadulterated pleasure.

We really enjoyed the food and wine at the Post which is on offer for most as a half-board option. The quality of the food and service are first-class and the general feeling of generosity permeates through the high-quality and locally-sourced ingredients that are abundant and diverse.

The Post is also about small details. Each evening, guests are provided with a newsletter highlighting activities on offer for the following day, staff remember your personal preferences from day-to-day and ensure all your requests are taken care of. If you fancy something slightly off-piste for dinner, the chefs will cater to your individual requests. The bedroom and bathroom facilities and decor are comfortable and elegant and are sensitive to the history of the building but also afford modern luxury and quality.

Overall, the Post Hotel is distinctive because the service feels personalized and homely but at the same time the facilities and activities on offer are diverse enough to cater for all needs and preferences. For us, the hotel encapsulated the romance of the Alps with modern amenities of the highest standard and we must have been so inspired that we also decided whilst there to get engaged!
