Ca Maria Adele is the vision of two brothers, Nicola and Alessio Campa; originally from Venice’s glass island, Murano. Seeing the potential 12 years ago, in an extremely run down 16th Century Palazzo, they decided within three days to take on the huge project. Bringing their own styles, whilst maintaining much of the original Venetian architecture, is symbolic of how they see Venice growing in the future.
Comfort is given a new meaning when you discover the complimentary bathrobes.
Arriving by water, you will find the hotel basking in the light of one of Venice’s most prolific churches, Maria Della Salute. The Ca Maria Adele dates back to the 15th Century and was transformed tastefully and maintains much of the Venetian structure.
The hotel has chosen to accommodate just 16 rooms but within these you can find, 5 ‘concept rooms’, a private terrace, a bath made to share and even some rooms with requirements such as “ruby rings” and “audacity”. The size of the hotel means you often feel as if the Palazzo is entirely your own.
When you are fully rested, breakfast is an experience in itself, continuing the theme of indulgence. Every desire can be satisfied from this menu. Upon choosing to leave the hotel, it can either be from the private launch or by foot. There are world renowned contemporary art galleries, such as the Peggy Guggenheim, within 3 minutes’ walk and beyond this, authentic and truly fantastic restaurants which the concierge are extremely helpful in finding. You will notice yourself gently being reintegrated into the mainstream of Venice’s enticing labyrinth.
